What Have You

large water drop clipart2This is rich, from the mind of our favorite American Quitter™, who hates it when people talk about her kids:

The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

“K, then. End of story. Except for this, after visiting with fellow sessionist Texas Gov. Rick Perry last year:

The governor’s [Palin’s, not Perry’s – ed.]water broke during the energy conference but she stayed and gave a 30-minute speech before boarding an Alaska Airlines plane home to deliver the baby.
Gov. Palin’s parents, Sally and Chuck Heath, visited with their new grandson Friday afternoon… Both baby and mom are doing well, said Chuck Heath, and will be going home Saturday.
“She’s tired, yeah. She traveled, well, she was at that convention, traveled all night, gave birth this morning, what have you, and hasn’t slept today. She’s tired,” he said.

From what? Keeping her legs crossed? She waited something like twelve hours after her water broke in Texas – taking a 2-stop flight, then driving to the hospital way over in Wasilla – before she agreed to let Trig out? Who does this? How safe is this for the baby? And what became of the mucus plug?

All this, presumably under government health care provided to the then-governor?

Looks like she had her own little “death panel” going there. Congress is basically calling for Medicare for everyone – this revered stateswoman thinks Medicare is evil?
